SALINE –Twelve years ago, Saline-based NFL player agent Dr. Da-I Ping was trying to raise money for the local high school with a basketball game.

NFL players from his agency, like Ypsilanti native Rodney Holman, came. Local sports fans paid a few bucks to watch.

Joe Salame told Ping he had a better idea. Ping told Salame if he put it together, Ping’s clients would be there.

Friday was the 11th annual Saline Professional Football Players Golf Outing at Brookside Golf Course, drawing 15 sixsomes together to raise $5,000, bringing the grand total to the outing to more than $50,000.
